Archos on Android-tablets expansion
It seems that Archos love Android, because they don’t stop producing new and new devices running on Android OS. Yesterday they’ve just released their 4.3-inches Android powered internet tablet Archos 43 and today they surprise us with another more-like-tablet device – Archos 70. With its 7-inch display it looks more like a tablet, compared to Archos 43, letting you browse the web or watch videos more comfortably and easily.

Among the rest features of Archos 70 are whole 8GB internal memory (pretty enough for some videos, your favourite audio tracks and photos), 1GHz processor (it could have been Tegra 2, but it is still good enough), 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi support, as already mentioned – 7-inch display running at resolution of 800×480 pixels, 3D graphic acceleration, USB connectivity, TV output and last but not least – UpnP and Samba support for streaming video content. This sounds pretty cool as you can stream your videos to a projector, which supports these protocols and enjoy them on even bigger screen.
All of this sounds very good, but there is one big drawback – it doesn’t support Android Market. However, if you still want to get some applications, you can do it via AppsLib Store. If you want to buy Archos 70, you can do it for 279.99$, but if you could wait a bit, Archos said that they will release a 250GB model really soon for 350$.
