Well finally and it came not before time, Ireland are going to get the ability to buy android apps from the android market. Your android phone is not going to know whats’s hit it! A total of 29 Countries have been added to the current countries that allow you to buy and sell paid apps on the android market.
Up until now a lot of countries were only able to access free apps in the android market. While developers in these countries were unable to sell their apps on the market. The addition of the 29 countries will open up huge markets for developers and give further reasons for developers and companies to develop apps for the android platform.

The following countries will be added in this update within the next two weeks.
Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Israel, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland and Taiwan.

As far as I know payments are made through google checkout (correct me if I’m wrong) so you’ll have to have your credit card added to checkout to buy apps from the market. The developers blog also has loads of information for developers wanting to create paid apps. I’m really looking forward to the great ideas that are going to come out of this!
