During a conference in London on 15th September, HTC announced a new version of HTC Sense, but this wasn’t the only thing that was presented there. HTC showed their two new mobile devices for the European market – Desire HD and Desire Z.

Desire HD is the European version of Evo 4G but with some differences. Desire HD features a 4.3-inch LCD touchscreen,  a 1GHz Snapdragon Processor, 8MP camera with dual-LED flash (unfortunately no Xenon flash) capable of recording 720p HD video, HSPA+ data, 1.5GB internal storage, 768MB RAM and DLNA (DLNA enables your mobile phone to connect wirelessly to another compatible device, such as a TV, and stream media content). The body of Desire HD is made of a solid block of aluminum, like the one of HTC Legend, thus making it thinner than Evo 4G.  The battery and SIM slot is also the same like on HTC Legend.

The other device presented by HTC was the Desire Z, which is actually a rebranded version of North-American T-Mobile G2.  The most distinctive feature of this handset is the 4-row hardware QWERTY keyboard. Desire Z has a 3.7-inch touchscreen display, 800MHz processor and 5MP camera with single flash, capable of recording 720p HD video, again 1.5GB internal storage, 512MB RAM and DLNA. Here the body is also made of a single block of aluminum. There is a slight difference between the keyboards of G2 and Desire Z. In Z the “www/.com” key was replaced with a Tab key and one of the “Quick keys” buttons was replaced with a symbol key.

Both Desire HD and Z feature the new version of HTC Sense, thus making them really interesting for everyone. The price of unlocked Desire HD is 779$ at Amazon while Desire Z is offered for free from T-Mobile U.K. with a 62$ per month 2-year contract.
